Are you comfortable at work? I'm not talking about what you do and how long you've been there... I'm asking; is your seat comfortable? Does your back or neck hurt at work?
I was in a car accident about 4 years ago and ever since then I have had neck and back pain. Never really thought too much about it, crack my neck and back every once in a while and it made it feel better. At work now, the pain seems to be more consistent and often. So, I've been doing my own research.... Check out the picture below...
So based on the diagram above, you should be sitting like that at work to promote better posture and better blood flow... Are you? Is your monitor set at eye level? Are your thighs parallel to the ground, arms 90 degrees, butt all the way back in the chair? More importantly, do you find yourself slouching over to your desk?
All of these things can cause you pain. What I'd really like to know is who actually has a workstation set up like that picture and where do you work?! Most organizations, you get a desk, chair, computer and off you go. Out of my research, I've learned that every 30mins, I need to get up and walk somewhere even if its to get water or to the bathroom.
Check out the stuff I have been reading and how you can make your setup at work more comfortable...
